For those venturing into the world of Mei Heong Yuen, I wholeheartedly recommend their durian desserts, particularly the Durian Mochi and Durian Snow Ice—a must-try for durian enthusiasts. Those who prefer different flavors can revel in choices like Soursop Snow Ice or Milk Tea Snow Ice, both of which are equally divine in their own right.

When your local friends know exactly where to take you to cap off your first night in Singapore... the famous Mei Heong Yuen Dessert in Chinatown! The shop was still super packed even around 9pm... reminds me of exactly why I miss Singapore and many Asian countries. Love the energetic ambiance and how everyone is just out and about socializing late into the evening over dessert after dinner even on a weekday evening! Just about a five minute walk away from the Chinatown MRT station, you'll be able to indulge in so many different kinds Cantonese style deserts. I really enjoyed the durian and mango sago and I'd recommend it for durian and mango lovers, respectively. Their barley ginkgo, peanut and sesame pastes were also yummy. All the desserts ordered were not too sweet, which is always a win!

Decide what you want. Grab a table. Then send someone to do the ordering. They'll bring it to you. They just need your ticket number. They offer lots of sorbets and toppings. Some custards. What we had was great. Not overly sweet.

Yelp Review 2023 #306: The perfect dessert for a hot and humid place is something cold. Mei Heong Yuen has 2 locations in Chinatown and several others spread across Singapore. This one is in Chinatown (on Temple Street). This location was conveniently located within walking distance from my hotel so, I can easily walk here for dessert or a snack. Sweet Corn Snow Ice: Shaved corn-flavored ice with creamed corn. I love the ribbons of snow that makes this dessert light and airy. The creamed corn adds texture. 4/5 Mango Pomelo Sago: A small bowl of icy mango pudding with fresh mangoes and chewy tapioca balls. Refreshing and fruity. 4:5 Mango Snow Ice: Shaved mango-flavored ice with chunks of fresh mangoes. Who doesn't like mangoes? Not too sweet 4/5 Their other flavors include green tea, durian, sesame, almond, strawberry, peanut, lychee, lime, chocolate, milk tea, soursop, pineapple, and mocha. They also have jelly, pudding, different flavored nut pastes, and savory cakes and dumplings. They have smoothies and iced tea if you need a cold drink. And for under $10 (Singapore), you can have an icy dessert especially if you're tired of being out in the sun. Your dessert comes out quick.

Very tasty popular dessert place with reasonable price & famous landmark at Singapore & popular for tourists. I highly recommend this place!

They have many outlets in Singapore. I believe this is their flagship store nestled in the heart of Chinatown. They have been around for decades. There are traditional (old school) desserts as well as the more instagram and tik tok worthy desserts (⁎⁍⁍⁎) I like that the desserts are not too sweet & their service is fast & efficient. Definitely a good place to go to anytime of the day. One plus point: they have AC in this outlet.

The original joint that started the revolution that birthed the chain! If you're in the mood for desserts and snack foods that are Cantonese-leaning local favorites, or just crave bites that are flavorful, satisfying, and have the aura of authenticity, then please wander into any Mei Heong Yuen. if you're exploring Chinatown, definitely drop by for a pit stop here, not unlike stopping at Rocco's when wandering around the West Village. Some notable recommendations are the shaved ice creations, and in particular the chendol shaved ice which is a creamy mountain of coconut milk ice shaved into a bowl over sweet kidney beans and Pandan bits bursting with the flavor of the eponymous herb. Over all this is drizzled a treacle of gula melaka (coconut palm sugar). Not to be missed are the mango pudding, the lemon ice jelly, and the soupy nut pastes (walnut, almond, sesame).

This looks like a very small dessert place however it seems to have 2 entrances once you enter. There is usually a long line up but the then over here is very quick. You order at the cash w d they bring it to your table. There is a large selection and though the desserts are large enough to feed two people, I regret not ordering a second to share in the variety. They had lots of traditional desserts which I also regret not trying since we only had the shaved ice which is delicious nonetheless. I can't wait for my next visit back to Singapore so I can have more dessert here

This place was supposedly awarded a Michelin star for their sweets. Prices were so cheap, $2-7 USD and made fresh to order. From the outside it looks tiny, when you go in it opens up in the side and back with ample seating. You have to fight for a table or share a table with someone as they get really busy. My favorites were the Chendol ice, almond egg white, mango lychee snow cream, and the mango sticky rice. For sure will come back and try other items.
